Albert M. Antlitz M.D., age 84, of Abingdon, MD passed away on November 13, 2013 at Havre de Grace.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Albert Theodore and Barbara Hess Antlitz. He served our country as a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, 101st Airborne Division Artillery from 1956-1958.
Dr. Antlitz was a cardiologist and a member of many medical societies. He served as the 134th President of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of Maryland, was past President of the Baltimore City Medical Society, and was chairman of the Maryland Delegation to the American Medical Association in the 1980's.
He held many academic appointments and published numerous articles in the field of medicine. As a man who was forward thinking, he established the Center for Health Education. He also worked closely with government officials, including Baltimore's Mayor William Donald Schaefer.
An avid boater, he enjoyed yearly voyages taking four months at a time traveling aboard the Bolero with his beloved wife, Lucille.
