In his role, Dr. Lowentritt is responsible for working with
member practices to build and optimize services for prostate cancer
patients. This includes supporting
physicians, staff, and operational teams as treatment options are
expanded. The goal is for each member
group to have a comprehensive, state-of-the-art program that helps patients
through a difficult diagnosis. He is
also directing Disease-State-Management programs for other conditions commonly
treated by urologists.
Dr. Lowentritt received his Doctor of Medicine degree from
Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his medical residency at the
University of Maryland School of Medicine and a fellowship in Robotic,
Laparoscopic, and Endoscopic Urology at Tulane University. His practice focuses
on evaluation and management of prostate cancer through all stages of the
disease.
Dr. Lowentritt has served as Past-President of the
Mid-Atlantic Section of the American Urological Association and of the
Baltimore City Medical Society. In addition to his current Presidency here at
MedChi, Dr. Lowentritt is a board member of the Large Urology Group Practice
Association (LUGPA). He has been recognized as a Top Doctor in multiple publications.
