Henry M. Wilson

Henry Merryman Wilson was born in Baltimore on February 2, 1829. He received his A.B. and A.M. at Dickinson College in 1848 and 1851 respectively. He attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and received a medical degree in 1850. In 1859, he became the Secretary of the Medical & Chirurgical Faculty, a position he held until 1873. From 1873-74, he was the Vice-President, and in 1874-75, he became President.

Additionally, in 1886-87, Dr. Wilson was named the President of the UM  Alumni Association, where he was active for a number of years, including as an elemental member of the Dinner Club, the longest running dining club in the country. 

Dr. Wilson lived at 1008 Madison Avenue, in Baltimore City. He dies on May 8, 1918 in Baltimore.
