Michael Dobridge

Michael Dobridge was born in Guttenberg, New Jersey and considers himself fortunate to have received a good background for college and medical from Wehawken High School. He graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 1947 and went on to Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where he graduated in 1951.

He completed his internship and became Chief Resident at Reading and St. Joseph’s Hospitals. He completed his training in Family Practice. From 1953 to 1955, he served as a regimantal surgeon in the US Army and began his private practive in Maryland.

Some of his early hospital affiliations include Washington Sanatarium, Suburban Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital. He became certified in Family Practive in 1972 with a broad professional background.

Dr. Dobridge joined the Montgomery County Medical Society (MCMS) and the Medical & Chirurgical Faculty in 1956. His positions at MCMS included the Chair of the Professional Relations Committee and as President in 1972. In the mid-1960s, he began his activities at MedChi by serving in the House of Delegates. He also chaired the Task Force on Peer Review and was an AMA Delegate, as well as Chair of the Council.
