One hundred and ten years ago, we were just a hole in the ground waiting to be filled.
You can see the School #49 building, which we now own, just to the south (right). And there's a residence, just to the north (left).
Two month's later, significant progress had been made, and by May of 1909, the building had been completed.
Hello Meg, It's great to find these under-construction images. They often give perspectives that can't be seen in the completed building, especially with views, neighbors, building methods, etc. I have some construction photos of Calhoun College being built (from a never-written post) and one of the most amazing things was seeing right through the structure of this very solid stone building.
