Hello Meg, Serious mental illness is unutterably sad. It seems that every state built grandiose institutions to house such patients, with the best of intentions at first, but too often conditions quickly deteriorated. I hope that Maryland's was an exception, given the general level of medical care and knowledge in the state. I am sure that Dr. McHugh's lecture will be fascinating. --Jim
