Happy New Year!

About MedChi's Archives

MedChi was founded in 1799 and has a long and illustrious history, and numerous accomplishments. We are located in Baltimore's Mount Vernon neighborhood and occupy several historic buildings.

Because of our long history, we have extensive archives, a collection of oil portraits and a library with more than 50,000 volumes, many dating from the 1600's to 1900's.

I am the Director of Development and the History of Medicine in Maryland at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, and its foundation, The Center for Healthy Maryland.

Please join me as I explore some of our artifacts in hopes that they will not be lost to the mists of time, and the darkness of our stacks.
