The 4th Annual #ColorOurCollections Week

From February 4-8, 2019, libraries, archives, and other cultural institutions around the world are sharing free coloring sheets and books based on materials in their collections. The project, called Colour our Collections, is based out of the New York Academy of Medicine.

MedChi is once again participating in this fun project, which aims to open collections to the public in a fun way. Pages range from the Vesalius Coloring Book,
to a personal favorite, Amguedddfa Cymru - The National Museum of Wales Coloring book's Welsh Dragon, which should be colored red!
For our submissions this year, we have selected several of our more interesting bookplates, about which we have written, here

Please feel free to download and color these bookplates, or view the entire list of submissions from across the world at the New York Academy of Medicine

  1. Hello Meg, Excellent choices for the plates to color. I wish I were better at using the computer to color engravings and photographs--it takes so much time. I did recently get a great old photo of a house with flags and bunting to color for next July 4th!

  2. Looking again at these entries, they are all pretty cool, but I'll bet that I, and especially you, could come up with coloring books of our own antique images that would blow these out of the water! Some of your images you have used for blogs, towels, and various creative projects, so we have gotten a peek at them!
