Hi Meg, I just finished reading a book by Dee Hardie, about living in suburban Maryland (I think near Baltimore) in the 1970's, and she frequently mentions the area's equestrian tendencies, so that part of the photo is easy to believe, but it looks like you had to search back to the 1940's to find a female Maryland doctor hard at work! --Jim
